The Role of the Revolutionary Organisation

The Role of the Revolutionary Organisation, Third Edition

We in the Anarchist Federation seek the abolition of capitalism and state in favour of bringing about a society based on the guiding principle ‘From each according to their ability, to each according to their need.’ This is anarchist communism. In order to achieve this we need a revolutionary organisation to undertake a certain role as part of the working class.

This pamphlet will explain why.

  • We in the working class are fully able to take direct action for ourselves. We can develop new forms of struggle and organisation to meet our needs. In every great revolutionary upsurge we have developed new tactics regardless of our would-be leaders.

Hi Jim,

This is the new 3rd edition, and is significantly different from the version you link to. The LibCom team had suggested we create this version and rename the old one. Should be all completed shortly. Thanks for keeping an eye on things tho - appreciated.

EDIT: Once I figure out how to get it all up here we should see the full pamphlet as viewable on LibCom itself, I'm just being a tech-dunce atm.

Yeah, Jim that is what I initially suggested but as this is so different I said I should add it as a separate entry.

AF pamphlets: basically the simplest way to get it up here is just to go through the Word (or OpenOffice) version and format it in BB code or HTML, then edit this entry and paste it into the Body section.

See here for instructions on how to format text: http://libcom.org/library/notes/content-guidelines/howto-article-submiss...

cheers!
