Damn, aint the carnival against capitalism on the same day as the norwich bookfair?

Looks good though, i am now torn with which one to go to.

Hmm, either a fun day out with major direct action...or a bookfair.

Sort out your priorities, boy! grin

BTW, at the Brum IMc event yesterday there were plenty of people interested in anti-G8 action. If there was transport from Brum I reckong a few would come. Someone from WMA was there, ask him about it. Brum IMC are the contact most of them will have.

I'm making a tactical alliance with jugglers -- purely in order to influence them, of course. I have no association with jugglist ways; it is not a shibboleth for me embarrassed

It's a joke, nothing to do with actual Dudley Mr. T

Lots of anarho protesting involves dressing up, looking silly, etc -- and the more serious anarchos slag this off as 'a load of jugglers'. But here am I talking about a carnival...

It's a HARDCORE carnival, ok? black bloc black bloc

circle A grin

well it started off as a joke grin

but it actually turned into a small youth project last year

The Jugglers Liberation Front of Dudley was launched to teach kids in youth centres a variety of circus arts because many of them couldnt afford to get out to see the big circus's when they came to town. Our idea was if they cant get to the circus they can create their own. A couple of us were performers for a while over a 6 month period, doing different charity gigs and stuff.

We're having a bit of a lull at the moment as a couple of the members are overseas doing aid work.

but we have plans for Jugglers Lib to expand and take over different citys basically this one acting as a catalyst for other Jugglers Lib groups to spring up all over the place, rather than us moving around all the time teaching these kids stuff, we want to be able to teach a couple of people in different places who can then become the hub of what happens with the Jugglers Lib where they live, but

thats if we can get other activist/performers on board who wont just straight away scream ''hippy bollocks'' from the comfort of their armchairs

smile
