2019 Manchester/Salford Anarchist Bookfair

The Manchester and Salford Anarchist Book Fair returns to the Peoples History Museum this year on Saturday the 7th of December from 10am to 4pm. No more details as yet but will probably include the usual selection of publishers, distributors and political and campaign groups.

It's a welcome return to the Peoples History Museum Venue but it seems the organisers didn't have the funds to book meeting rooms as well as the main bookfair hall in advance so they are encouraging groups to book and pay for rooms during the bookfair directly with the Museum admin, (https://phm.org.uk/hire/)

Yes far from ideal but the bookfair organisers might still be able to assist with contact names, times etc. I'm not involved myself and not around on that date so I'm not able to help.

So the organisers have now published the list of bookstalls. See here:

And there will also be a number of short meetings in one of the meeting rooms still to be confirmed on their website.

A limited list of short presentations/book launches at the bookfair now up here:

Not the most currently relevant or interesting of subjects here but this event (if more narrowly anarchist than some others) still presents opportunities to meet up with some genuine class struggle and libertarian communist activists amongst the bookstall organisers with enough social meeting space in this venue to pursue some rare face to face discussions.
