the emergence of new classes and anti-marxist ideas

bare with me on this as i am not used to thinking about stuff like this...

right so i was reading the latest issue of the occaisional zine 'political slacker' (formerly the 'whinger')

there's an article in i, which i havent got my head round yet - but i'm working on it...it's inspired by the book 'marx; a radical critique' by irish academic alan carter - it seems the book is an anarcho-communist critique of marxism, and the section which the political slacker has pulled out is about the class structure of capitalist society

right, so marx posits that a communist society without classes is a natural progression from the feudal three class society nobles-latent bourgoise-serfs/latent proletariat, followed by capitalism where you have the bourgeoise-proletariat divide - and then communism

well this article asks what if, a new class emerges between the capitalist class and the workers? a bureaucratic technocracy for instance...

i'll post more later er, when i've got into the mood for thinking about shit like this...

Well you could say that did happen in Russia. Instead of a capitalist class you get a bureacratic state-capitalist "class". I'm not entirely sure what you're getting at tho...

Hi

Sometimes I think of the hierarchy of celebrities as courtesans in a modern aristocracy, although really they’re just famous bourgeois. What are you getting at Kalabine? In what way are traditional Marxist notions of the middle class different from your “new class [that] emerges between the capitalist class and the workers”?

Love
