Not sure organise was the correct sub forum but just interested in this issue.
What are the rules generally on what benefits you can claim in EU/EEA countries?
Personally, I'm on income based JSA here in the UK though I do speak spanish and was thinking of going there to look for work when someone told me I could still claim dole after going. But it appears from the DWP website that that's only if you claimed contribution based.
So is there something like income based JSA I'd be entitled to from the spanish govt if i looked for work? Or any other EU countries for that matter?
I would I just be kicked out for being a work-shy layabout when my 90 days are up?
Anyone any experiences with this?
http://www.adviceguide.org.uk is down so I can't check current situation, but EU migrant workers coming to the UK are under a "No recourse to public funds" rule. Try and claim benefits and you'll be on a plane home...
