not aware there is a mad pride manchester, there's the hearing voices network in manchester though (mcrinfo@hearing-voices.org)

Revol, most of the people I've met with "severe and chronic mental illness" - the official assessment they had to have to go to one of the places I worked, probably close to 100-150, including some in medium-secure accommodation - had a much better grasp on reality than username. Mad Pride, from what little I know, is a decent enough organisation - it tries to take a more militant approach than MIND. The mentally ill currently have about the same level of civil liberties as suspected terrorists (i.e. incarceration for years without trial), so worth a look mate.
