Yeah, im studying at manc uni and im just really looking to get involved with the movement here after I left Surrey and hence had to leave the Surrey Anarchist Group, I'll probably either pop down to the basement social center or just track you folks down at the anti-war demo, thanks a lot for your response mate

Just wanna shout out to any Anarchists that might be studying at Salford University? Hope there are, I'll be spending 3 years there.

Once in a while i meet people who take part to different refugee demos or basement things who are studyng at salford, so there is hope!
Hope you can make it to the anti-war demo as well to hook up with the local anarchos?

There are five Solidarity Federation members working at the uni in various roles, and SolFed has an active local group as well with regular meetings, buth public discussion style stuff and then normal business meetings where things are organised.
I am also in SolFed.
AF has a local group in Manchester as well, and i believe the AF folks are also involved in setting up the manchester IWW.
Basement social centre on 24 lever street has all kinds of libertarians and anarchist minded folk hanging around and their bookshop and leaflet stands are worth checking out. You can pick up a copy of AF's resistance there for instance.
One good place to meet manchester anarchists from all groups (and the groupless ones as well) would be the 23rd of september anti war demo. Just look out for thr red & black flags flying about, come and say hi!
