worker solidarity
Quote:
A roofer in New Jersey took a dangerous dive into a vat of acid to save a coworker who had just fallen through a roof into the tank 40 feet below.

Immediately after the first guy tumbled through the top of the Swepco Tube plant, his hero buddy jumped to follow him into the container, where a solution comprised of 40 to 70 percent nitric acid awaited him. He stood waist-high in the liquid as he and three other men pulled their peer to safety.

Not funny.

This actually took place in the city where I work.

I was talking to a roofer at the industrial roof supply company next door to me about this. They're not sure if he feel ("on hos own") or feel through the roof.

The dude got lots of burns and his co-worker as well (but not as bad). The acid used is a sorta watered down grade of acid, not something right out of some action movie. But enough to do serious hard.

This is a f--k'd scene.
