With $666,000 in federal research money, scientists examined whether distant prayer could heal AIDS. It could not.

The National Center for Complementary and Alternative Medicine, or NCCAM, also helped pay scientists to study whether squirting brewed coffee into someone's intestines can help treat pancreatic cancer

I don't know, did they pray to the right god? Were they sincere? It seems inconclusive and further study is necessary.

I don't have a problem with researching things like accupuncture, homeopathy, prayer, etc. but once you've got conclusive, widely replicated findings it ought to be a lot harder to get public funding for new research asking questions that have basically already been answered. However, with this kind of crap there's ongoing attention for other reasons that scientific enquiry.

Also, how does a prayer study cost that much. It's not like you need any equipment and volunteers will be free or very cheap. It should effectively just be an exercise in admin.

And in its own domain, political parasitism follows the laws of biology, making its honey from society’s putrefaction.

Hang on though, parasites live in/on other organisms, not their shit. At best, shit dwelling is a transitional phase for a parasite. Come on ICC, keep the scientific in scientific socialism.

Indeed, science teaches no such thing. And the ICC don't allow 'fractions'.
