Biggest bunch of w*nkers supergroup

Basiclly a contest who can see who can come up with a group composed of a line up of the most annoying personages possible.

Heres the best i can think of:

Phil Collins - Drums
Mark King (from Level 42) Bass
The Edge Guitar
Jools Holland Keyboard
Mick Hucknall Vocals.

I'm taking liberties with the premise here, but:

Carol McGiffin (Loose Women) - tuba
Colleen Nolan (Loose Women) - cowbell
Jane McDonald (Loose Women) - pan pipes
John Barrowman (general all round wank stick) - vocals

Bono (U2) and Chris Martin (Coldplay) covering Paul McCartney's The Girl is Mine.

EDIT: Or maybe just this:

don't insult wankers by comparing them with Bono ... Greg Graffin, Brian Cox and Brian May forming an academic prog rock band doing a concept album with poems by Marx, Gorter, Kanehl, Mao and Matgamna

Wiggleston - couldnt you have just given the original lineup for metallica for when mustaine was in the band - ahh but then you would have to exclude kirk hammet who surely ought to be a candidate!

U2 - everybody i know both politico or non politico alike despise them yet they manage to fill staduims and sold tons of records - who likes them??

Entdinglichung - im saddened that you would put this lineup to doing a prog rock album - as if that genre somehow has that quality about it. Im a massive fan of jethro tull and genesis, mind you i did put phil collins on that list.... A friend and i were comparing brian cox to carl sagan the other day and she referred to brian cox as a 'mondeo-man physicist'!

Just in case anybody doesn't know who mark king is (my choice bassist) here he is - and i think this clip adequately demonstrates why hes on that list ..

always makes me chuckle when i think about how both jackson and mccartney both used to go on about how great friends they were before MJ bought the rights for all the beatles songs hahah!

The worst concert you could possibly go to.

Hale and Pace – Warm-up act

Peter Gabriel – solo acoustic support act, covering songs from Brian May's solo career.

Will-i-am – vocals/song writing
Amanda Palmer – vocals, banter
Ben Harper – guitar, backing vocals
Gene Simmons – bass (couldn't think of anyone worse)
Lou Reed – drums
Little Wayne – filling in uncomfortable silences between songs

Thom Yorke – vibes master

prog rock and its neighbours are the only genres who do concept albums ... Carl Sagan was far more political than Cox: getting arrested at anti-nuclear arms protests and smuggling forbidden literature into the Soviet Union

Slavearc, that Mark King cock makes me puke up my guts. Premium wanker.

Because actually doing something constructive on the dole is a wee bit rebarbative.

What about the snooker player and right geezer Mark King?

And aren't real supergroups shit enough without having to make them up? Like CREAM or the Murderdolls.

xsax I don't think I know anyone that likes U2, not sure I'd want to. It's a bit like coldplay, someone buys these albums but god knows who.

Drums - Travis Barker
Guitar - Courtney love
Bass - Sting
Ethnic percussion - Damon Albarn
Lead vocals - Francis Healy (that prick from Travis)
Back up vocals - Heather Small and Anthony Kiedis
Rapping Fred Durst

manager - Ronan Keating

Genre - World pop-punk with reggae influences.

Olly Murs will be busking alongside the queue

oh god bringing sting into the mix makes me realise how difficult it would be to pick the worst bassist. i mean how does one choose who is the worst outta mark king/ sting/ les claypool/ or flea? thats an impossible choice!!

Flaneur - i still watch the snooker on the telly even after the glory days - last year i imagined that even at 34 that if i could practice snooker enough maybe i could become a pro (gave up my dreams of being a footballer at the age of about 8 when i wasnt good enough to get picked for the schools B team!!)

Sting and Fred Durst are brilliant (and painful) additions to the line-up. Perhaps a bit of Rod Stewart in the mix as well?

Re: fucking Bono

Over this past summer I went on a "Bible Belt Tour" of the US south and stopped in various civil rights museums. Every one had somewhere in it a section on modern civil rights heros and whinging liberal do-gooder Bono was in every single fucking one.

Also, you know that wank-jar was nominated for a Nobel Peace Prize?

You've still time, pal. Do a James Kelman and hang about the snooker hall, cutting your teeth in the tournaments for money. Or have a scrap with the polis and get blinded, it's your life.

sounds like a plan - although think im better starting off at pool for a while since the best break ive managed at snooker was 6 and it was a fluke. As an aside, where do you stand on the Hendry/O'Sullivan/Davis debate?

Ha - if you check the boycott list i posted on this earlier, then you'll note that starbucks is on the list on account of their "OUTRAGEOUS" (their words) tax dodging. I reckon the ultimate active middle class thing to do would be to send emails to ethical consumer to get them to add U2 to their boycott list due to their well documented tax dodging. Plus it will be funny witnessing liberals heads exploding when they try to square the archetypal liberalness of U2 with the contradiction of them appearing on the ethical consumer boycott list smile
