This is going to be of interest to a very small number of people on this site, perhaps none. But I wanted to share it.
I'm reading the autobiography of Henry Stephens Salt, a humanitarian and outspoken vegetarian, called "Seventy Years Among Savages." Kropotkin makes an appearance, out of nowhere on pgs. 183-184. Salt was a socialist, but he definitely seems to have been one of a reformist variety. Anyway, I looked it up on Wikipedia, and apparently Salt and Kropotkin were friends. It's a small world.
I'm always on the lookout for people who bridge the gap between animal and class issues. This warmed my heart a little bit.
