'Capitalist Realism' from Bill Gates

This has been doing the rounds on Facebook and angered me so much that I had to make sure it wasn't just me who was pissed off with it ...

What a horrible, horrible man.

This is quite obviously a hoax that has nothing to do with Bill Gates:

What annoys me most about these is the use of anecdotal evidence in arguments. Immigrants getting free cars, TVs, etc. type arguments and stories. That and how they appeal to and are used by so many. sad

For a young guy, i'm naive about this crap. I think the fact that most people were posting it as a sort of inspirational speech fooled me.

Bill Gates is still a horrible, horrible man though.

I don't think my grandparents in rural Ireland, with no electricity or running water had 'a word' for burger flipping because I'm pretty sure they didn't have burgers. But yeah old timey wisdom is great!

George Washington didn't procrastinate on facebook, he used it to develop business contacts.

Lol the cunt that is David Tinney, when he came to our school to talk to us about success (I did a blog about it, check it out), talked about how we should think of our facebook and twitter/social netwokring like our own marketing things for employers.

I've seen a variant of this poster in a few Jimmy Johns here in Seattle since at least a few years back. The poster's have #'s 2,3,4,7 and 11 on it at I think. And the title was just something like "Mama's Rules to Life" or something. But, it was framed and part of the restaurants decor. It made my blood boil!
