Any jazz music fans?

So, like the other thread, but for hepcats.

I'll put forward this for your consideration:

Also, to pre-empt any squares, this:

While I don't necessarily consider myself a "fan", meaning that I couldn't name any jazz musician other than Horace Silver, I did grow up on a steady diet of Cowboy Bebop. As a result I like hard bop more than other types of jazz.

My favorite is, of course:

This one is pretty nice as well.

p.s.
Your last video made me lol.

Yeah, I wouldn't call myself a fan particularly either, just copying the other thread title.

Also, nice choices. Incidentally, I opened both your links in separate tabs, by mistake, and they both started playing at the same time. Together they sound like really hardcore jazz! I mean, they really do sound fuck'n great played like that! cool

Edit: if you liked the second clip then there are these (starts with the same one as above, then more):

Horace Silver is ace, love Charlie Mingus too.

Personal faves, though, are Art Blakey's Moanin

and Ahmad Jamal's Swahililand:

And old school...
anything by Fats Waller. In fact, I defy anyone to not love this one.

Best jazz musician in the history of the music, IMO. His work with Charles Mingus is amazing. Here they are tearing up a Duke Ellington classic:

This reminds me of:

Q: What's the difference between being a rock guitarist & being a jazz guitarist?
A: Rock guitarists play three chords in front of thousands of people....

This is him doing "God bless the child," which was a sort of 'party piece' of his, featured in most live performances.
