Is this coming back?
In time, its one of the way harder things to do.
c'mon! c'mon! whazza matta????
(ooooh - this is my 666 post!)
It's a very long-term ongoing bug with the software. Ghostzart fixed it, but his fix broke when we upgraded and we couldn't reproduce it.
There's a new version of Drupal out within the next couple of months - it may be fixed in that.
If anyone's got spare cash laying around, we could raise a bounty on drupal.org to get it fixed quickly - from what I've read about it (a fair bit now), there's several ways to fix it but they've not decided which one is best. If we could collectively raise £50-100 ($70-150) that might help, and we'd only have to pay up if it worked.
ps - I've got an ongoing thread on drupal dealing with forums stuff: http://drupal.org/node/84014
Here's the main bug report for jump to last post: http://drupal.org/node/6162

i don't think it's worth it.
I don't think you should pay for a fix, unless you think that it is seriously discouraging people from using the site. I'm fairly certain that it isn't so I think that the money would be better spent getting cool sunglasses for the admins.
OK cool, we'll wait for new version.
I had a look at the code you posted on the drupal forum, and it didn't look too complicated. What happened when you tried to use that fix with the new version?
I could probably fix it for you, although if there's a proper fix coming out soon, I don't know if it will be worth the trouble.

Not a lot I think - I don't remember it seriously breaking much, but it ceased to be a fix.
Hopefully a proper fix will be out soon, I think our best bet is to direct energies towards getting that to happen - otherwise it'll just get broken every time if we roll our own.
Felix - what kind of fix did you have in mind?
GATFUCKINGDIMMIT
i just posted and the screen went straight to the end of the thread! can it be??
testing
nope i don't think so...
Let me see
It works if you use the little box at the bottom of the screeen rather than hitting reply, need to check it on a thread with multiple pages.
yes, i think it only works if there is one page.
yeah it only works if there's one page.
This is the issue on drupal.org: http://drupal.org/node/6162
it won't be fixed for a few months unless someone comes up with a magic solution, but now is a good time for any really pissed off posters to start pledging money for whoever fixes it on there since they just started developing the next (next next for us at the moment) version.
shit did this just work on page 2 of a thread????
i think it just worked on p. 6!!
it works for posting a comment and being redirected to the last page, pretty sure the forums/tracker "new" links don't though.
Well, I tried that "jump to the last comment" hack on a fresh copy of Drupal back in October, and it was working just fine, so there is no good reason why it wouldn't work with Libcom.
we'll have to update the hack to drupal 5 now, which is beyond us as yet.
I just fixed this.
ooh i hope so
edit: ooh it's true
yup, you did.
i love you man.
The little x's at start of subject line are links to posts so u can link directly to other posts, will get rid of subject line and replace the x's with a nice little graphic soon.
you de man!
yeah - what's up with that
