'Edit post' posting multiple comments

as evidenced on the increasingly unpleasant thread 'thesis, antithesis' the 'edit post' function is apparently generating new posts for every edit.

it does on this thread be because you fixed the #new links ages ago - it's only on single page threads though.

The multiple page stuff works fine, it's getting it into a module and out of hacking that's hard. I've found new way to get drupal help though (IRC), but no time to properly look at it yet.
