My chickens are soon to be for the chop it seems. I blame the independant for making everyone panic about bird flu. Anyone else remember when SARS was going to kill us all a couple of years back?
So I shall grieve for my chickens, they are valuable members of my family and give us lots of eggs for free (not for me this business of trusting tescos when they call their eggs 'free range').
Vegans: am i abusing the rights of my chickens by eating their eggs, even though i see to it personally that they are well looked after, well fed and protected from the foxes which would surely have eaten them a long time ago if the poor bastards were released into the wild? Am i a murderer?

there is some active religious pro lifers in liverpool - probably them jumping on the issue...
Ghost: if you need any more chickens, i can hook you up to people who you can get chickens from without having to support hatcheries. Well its easy really, since there are animal rescue centres all over the country and many of them have more chickens that they can house.
I used to work for the Ministry of Agriculture (back when button was working for The Man ) and we used to get anonymous letters from an organisation called Chicken's Lib.
Browns, browns, browns...
must have been a well oiled nation wide underground organisation with a leadership in exile
chickens are cool though, they need their lib

I've got a briefcase i need delivered to the city centre. You should probably ignore that ticking sound, and don't take it near a geiger counter.

There was a good article in the Guardian's G2 or other mag a couple of months ago about public grievance and how stupid it is.
