Adam's talk will apply critical thinking to the catholic doctrine of saints and miracles, concentrating on Newman's arguments, before he became a catholic, against (non-biblical) miracles on the grounds that they could be explained rationally without invoking divine intervention.
Newman actually said that the weakest kind of miracles was a cure from an illness especially when medical treatment was also involved -- precisely what the catholic hierarchy is now saying he got god to work.
